ABOUT ME

I’m Keenan, and I’m a lifestyle & portrait photographer based in Washington DC. I was born and raised in Indiana. I bought my first camera back in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to start a new hobby. Over the following year, I took classes from professional photographers, watched hours of YouTube tutorials, and fell in love with the art form. As I traveled to different cities with this beat-up camera, my perspective of the world changed when I began to see its beauty through a camera. To this day, I am still just as excited to open up the files for the first time and see what moments I captured.

 

In 2023, I moved to Washington DC and started pursuing photography more seriously! I moved on a dream and a prayer, and the Lord has opened doors I never thought possible. This year, I have begun teaching photography classes around the WMA, teaching beginner photographers, and even learning from them! So far, my time in DC has been full of so many blessings that I never thought imaginable. Through this, my main focus has shifted towards individual portraits, couples, engagements, but I still love to capture landscapes when out and about.
